Bio
Emma Armitage is an illustrator who's quite fond of making a jolly good ink mess in her small studio in South London.

After Art school, Emma worked as a freelance illustrator, taking on private commissions and projects. In 2015, she went to work for the British Antarctic Survey, where she got to pursue her love for the natural world by supporting polar research. In 2020, she got to live and work in Antarctica (and make friends with penguins!) Returning home via ship, she decided it was time to return to full time illustration.

Emma now spends most of her time crouched over her desk like an art goblin. She works primarily with ink and watercolour with a smidge of digital. When she's not drawing, you can find her stomping around in the woods or rummaging round second hand book shops. She's always searching for the next big adventure or the next great read!
